Recently, his autobiography 'Abroad in Japan' was recognized as the best-selling book in the UK in April 2024, highlighting his contributions to cultural exchange between the UK and Japan acknowledged by the British Royal Family. During the banquet, there was an opportunity to meet and converse with King Charles and Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. Chris conveyed to King Charles the longstanding popularity of British culture in Japan, which reportedly delighted him greatly.
